Brian Agnew was universally respected in Moncton's football community for his technical knowledge of the sport, his coaching skills and especially for his leadership. He led teams to several Provincial and Maritime championships. Along the way, he received the NB Football Lifetime Achievement Award and was a finalist for NFL Canadian Coach of the Year. Brian made a difference in a lot of people's lives; he was engaging, a positive leader, mentor and motivator to all who had the opportunity to work with him. He had a heartfelt interest in the successes of his players, fellow coaches, referees and administrators. In football and in life, Brian was a true champion.
Ed Edmonds was a consummate volunteer. He was a Cub/Scout/Rover Leader and was actively involved in the community, organizing parades, Maritime Band Festival, beauty pageants and assisting with the Silver Broom ceremonies.
He is a life member of the Moncton Football Association, and the New Brunswick Football Officials Association. He proudly held many positions in football, locally, provincially and nationally and has won many awards for his involvement. At 70, he retired from on-field officiating and took on the official role as a timer for all games at the Rocky Stone field and for the Mount Allison football team, retiring at age 92.
