What do you see yourself doing once you have completed your studies?

This fall, I'm attending St. Mary's University, and I I will study Criminology and Social justice. After university, I'm planning on becoming an RCMP officer.

What lessons did you learn as a football player?

Playing football has taught me about family through sports-the importance of not just playing for yourself but also for your teammates and the name on your chest. Going into every game and every practice, I feel confident knowing that my team has my back and will be there to lift me up.

What advice would you give to future GMFA Ballers?

The advice I have for any GMFA player is that your ceiling is set by one thing: your effort. Ignore the levels of football, the size of other players, and how long you've been playing. Focus on consistency and work harder than the people around you, and success will come.

“Success isn't owned, it's leased. And rent is due every day.”

- J.J. Watt

What do you see yourself doing once you have completed your studies?

I will be attending Crandall University in Moncton this fall, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. Afterwards, I hope to work with children and youth of all ages, teaching and enriching them with my knowledge and experience.

What lessons did you learn as a football player?

As a football player I learned that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. In the beginning I was beyond nervous to even step onto the field, but with the best coaches available I was able to succeed beyond my wildest dreams with my team. I also came to understand how important having a good support system is to achieve your dreams. My coaches mean the world to me and without them I wouldn’t have become to player and person I am today.

What advice would you give to future GMFA ballers?

Advice I would give to future GMFA players is to never give up on your dreams, no matter what. You are going to face obstacles and many challenges along the way but what matters is how you pick yourself back up and persevere.

“You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world... but it requires people to make that dream a reality.”

- Walt Disney

I am attending the University of New Brunswick in the fall and will be taking a bachelor’s degree in engineering. What lessons did you learn as a football player?

Football has taught me many lessons and skills that have shaped who I am today. It taught me how to be a leader and a team player, to always put my one-hundred percent effort into every task, to always support those around me, and that good things come to those who work hard.

What advice would you give to future GMFA Ballers?

4 pieces of advice to the future GMFA ballers: Hard work does not go unnoticed, don’t miss reps, study your playbook, and enjoy your football journey while it lasts; it is the most exciting and unforgettable sport there is.
